About me
Hi. My name is Olga. I have been living in Dubai for seven years with my husband and my three children. From a young age I painted and loved making things. I have studied photography and among other things I have done classes on making glass beads at Murano, I have a degree in Cake decoration and I have worked at the Lalaouni Jewelry Workshop
With three children, however, my artistic adventures were put on hold.
Two years ago, when my youngest son went to school, I decided that the time had finally come to do something for me. I'm left-handed and I always had a really bad hand writing so I decided I had to learn calligraphy. It was not easy for me but I did it. The pens and the inks put me in a painting mood again. I am obsessed with bright colours. I get inspired by my simple daily routine, my children's laughs, the summer, the sea and everything else that happens in my life or that I dream.
I challenged myself by trying to make a painting every day and put it on instagram. I don’t manage to do it everyday but most days I do.
Drawing has become my best friend. It joins me for morning coffee, an afternoon at the beach or for a glass of wine at the end of the day. Drawing helps me escape the chaos that surrounds us.
It is really about focus, meditation and staying present.
